Story for This Painting:
I’d received my first plein air portable paint palette as a gift and was excited to go test it out somewhere. It was on the very edge of spring so it was still kind of chilly and windy. A lot of the trees hadn’t even started budding yet. I went out with my little kit and tripod and found a little a shore area off of the main walking path. The breeze kept trying to dry out my acrylic paints and so the whole thing sort of felt like a race against time. I successfully painted most of scene on-site, and then finished up some small details at home, out of the wind.
